Mercenary is the best learning seat: sturdy, honest, and forgiving enough to teach you Mistfall Hunter combat without deleting your run after one mistake.
Role
Mercenary is the armored frontline class. Sword and shield tools, blocks, parries, stuns, and heavier options make it the safest first class for learning PvE and PvP fundamentals.
Why beginners should start here
Mistfall Hunter punishes panic. Mercenary gives you more time to recognize attacks, learn stamina limits, and survive a bad engage long enough to disengage.
How to improve
Do not hold block forever, learn which attacks must be dodged, and practice turning defense into a punish. A passive Mercenary survives longer but earns less; a patient Mercenary wins trades.
